I don't think you could have expected coming this far when you think back on your preseason 2022 plans. You did a great job against a great RCH team landing 2-2 after 4 games! Looks like it was an excellent series. Two extra innings game involving Scherzer and Buehler. Both teams in every game except maybe G3. Were these autoplayed or played via Netplay or Zoom? Scott, you had a great season after such a slow start, kudos to you for believing in your team and not dealing pieces when things looked grim. Russ, great job on your comeback after going down 2-0 at home and needing to win on the road. Good luck versus Scott's Padres. He was one of only 3 teams (I believe) to win the season series against Brooklyn.

Jeremy, I love the discussion (and all baseball related discussions) but I didn't realize we were debating Trout vs Robert. The main point was that Trout fell in the mock draft because he has a difficult time staying on the field. While I hope I am wrong, it may not get better now that he's into his 30's. If he would allow the Angels to play him in a corner OF spot and/or DH him some (when Shohei is on the mound), it would give his body a bit of a break but he is such a fierce competitor that he hasn't allowed that to date.

Jeremy, very well played, advocating for your potential big trade chip in Mike Trout during your teams’ soon to be rebuild. LOL I will say that before all his injuries and significantly missed playing time, he was THE best baseball player in MLB. He would be my number 1 pick, no questions asked, were it not for the now extensive injury history, recently highlighted with a newly diagnosed injury this year; T5 costovertebral dysfunction. A look back at his injury history and limited playing time will illustrate the obvious concern. Since 2017, Mike Trout has averaged 109 games per year (I excluded the COVID limited season of 2020 in my calculations and credited him with playing the last 19 games of this season). He will average 78.5 games over this year and last (I assumed he would play the last 19 games of this season, fingers crossed). No disrespect to Mike Trout but we were doing a draft as startup teams and for the most part we all focused on young players (early in the draft) who could lead an organization for years to come (this draft wasn't a Casey Kasem top 30 hits type of thing). We were looking at longevity moving forward not nostalgia hahaha. I do appreciate your thought process and love for the past having an average age on your team of 32.2 years old. All joking aside Trout is sill great and I would .love to have him on my team. With that said, if I or any team were thinking of acquiring him, strong consideration must be given to his ability to consistently stay on the field in the future and contribute on a regular basis. As far as your comparison of Luis Robert to Rondell White, let's revisit this in five and ten years and see how things settle out.

I would like to make a point of clarification about the tie breakers. They are used for seeding purposes but if teams finish in a tie for the last playoff spot then there would be a playoff game to determine the final team. It would get interesting if three or four teams finished in a tie for the last playoff spot. Thanks Jeff M, for the heads up! ⚾️⚾️
