Agreed, I wonder about Hal's peverse sense of humor. Homestead waves the white flag and trades Max, Belt and Benitendi. Month of July 11-16, seems right. Rest of season Hom goes 26-13 with a 10+ game win streak. Usage and opponent did help, but I finished the season with 22 eligible player starting Kluber and Cole Irvin. I think the correct way to win in HALs eyes is to trade AWAY your parts not add them... I think the track record over the years is clear!

I think last year we were able to trade the next years picks a little while before the draft creating a flood of previously unannounced trades. I don't think we have released 2024 pick yet (Booooo).

I appreciate the guts it takes to drop the top team and restart! That is a real part of the fun of this is building (I'm certainly there). One concern for me is that we are changing the content of the draft by removing Havana. If I remember we were adding both of the remaining dormant teams to the draft pool this year (had my eye on some of Havana catching). I agree that we should freeze ELD for at least one draft cycle but taking HAV out of the draft does have some repercussions. I'm not against the move but if would like to see something added back as a holder of 8 picks in the first 4 rounds.
