We are happy to welcome Ryan Williams as our newest manager. Introduced to PGB by Vancouver skipper Jeremy Johnson, Ryan becomes the second Canadian in the league, and although he has no direct Strat experience, he boasts a lengthy resumé in traditional fantasy sports. Already putting his fingerprints on the roster inherited from Ladner, he has announced that the team will be re-branded as the Kelowna (BC) Kraken after the 2021 season. Actually, I think we can all agree that none of that matters once you read this haiku from Ryan himself:
Don't know the game but
Ready to sock some dingers
Buy me some peanuts
Possibly one of our best haiku submissions ever, but that's a low hurdle to clear, right? Tonight, he'll begin his PGB journey by joining Jeremy to observe gamer duties, and he'll officially take charge of his new team once our regular season ends. As a side note, the Warwick team assumed by Paul Johnson will now be known as White Bear Lake, and Chuck Tinkler's heavily re-structured El Dorado squad will change monikers from the Burros to the Armadillos.
We'll be learning plenty more about Ryan in the days and weeks ahead, but for now, let's all give him a big welcome as our newest Groundout!
