Imagine the Orioles acquiring a number one starter (Gausman), the best closer in baseball (Diaz), and a 1.13 ERA bullpen arm (Fairbanks) and then turning into the Rockies.
The Capilanos' executive staff have sent for the patron saint of Chase Utley's knees in order to divine the sort of sacrifice that HAL clearly requires from the club. We will report back when we have an answer.
I trade away Edwin Diaz as well as Tanner Banks and Reynaldo Lopez after an uninspiring and underperforming/very disappointing first half and start winning….go figure….
I'd like to make sure HAL knows that homesteads opinion of him is one of:
Holly reverence
Excellence
Sheer respest
Utter amazement
Competent
Knowledgeable
See what I did there?
I'm attempting the parallel strategy of standing pat and assuming my underperformers will pick up the slack. That doesn't seem to work either. HAL's gonna HAL.
To quote an anonymous owner (so as not to incur the wrath of HAL) ...
"HAL is a fickle bastard"
This is not exactly what I thought I was tradding for ...
M.Scherzer LOSS(5-3) 0 2/3 ip
M.Scherzer LOSS(5-4) 5 ip
M.Scherzer WIN(6-4) 5 2/3 ip
And don't get me started on what HAL has done to Musgrove.
I traded for Freddie Freeman and until recently Miguel Rojas had a higher batting average than him thanks to HAL, he finally passed him with a couple of 3 for 5 games.
HAL... is CRUEL! Last year when I traded for Schwarber, Votto & Gallegos, I was 17-7. Immediately after the trade I went 1-20
