Long-time PGB commish Jeff has decided to step away from his post effective December 31. As a stabilizing force for the league for twelve years, his list of highlights and accomplishments is a long one. He ushered in an era of expansion and also helped to smoothly transition the league back to smaller membership as Groundouts' circumstances changed. He has also worked tirelessly as PGB's Stratdraft coordinator, schedule maker, and chief historian, spending countless hours maintaining league statistical archives. He now looks forward to life as an ordinary Groundout, but also contributing time in some of those same key roles. He has gracefully suggested that he is open to cooperating in a smooth transition for his incoming successor.
After a semi-thorough search for our next leader, it was determined that original PGB commissioner Dave will re-assume the position he held for the league's first six seasons.
We owe an enormous amount of gratitude to Commissioner Jeff for his many years of selfless service and commitment to making PGB a great league. Thanks Jeff--enjoy your golden years!
Thank you Jeff for your commitment to PGB over the years and especially during your tenure as Comish. Job well done. You have always been a great resource to me.
Welcome back Dave to your "new" old role. I wasn't in the league during your initial tenure but I know you will do great things for PGB moving forward. Call me if you have a chance as I have some great ideas! 😀 no really 😀
