The Annual Draft Has Been Slightly Modified.
Beginning with the 2011 draft, a few changes are being made. First, the entire draft will last only nine rounds, with the draft being conducted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for three consecutive weeks in February. Secondly, the Free Agent Library will be expanded to include all remaining undrafted players, rather than pitchers only. Finally, draft picks can now be traded through Round Six, beginning immediately.
A Bold Experiment This Summer.
While The Commissioner visits the Old Country this summer, Sheboygan manager Mike Mihelich has volunteered to step in as webmaster. Instead of taking a three-week hiatus in July, we'll stay on course without interruption. Thanks Mike!
PGB/Glorybound Golf Update.
The annual Glorybound golf tournament will be Friday, August 6 at Chomonix Golf Club in Lino Lakes, MN. Let's get a couple of Groundout foursomes for a fun day of golf and Russ Young jokes. Besides having a chance at being better at something than The Commish, it's a great cause to help families and children recovering from the devastating wake of drugs, alcohol, or incarceration. Tell The Commish that you're in!
SuperHAL Update.
The changes made to closer usage seems to be working well, as most teams report proper end-game strategy being utilized. Thaniks to Chuck Tinkler for the game adjustments.
