Impromptu Winter Meeting Inspires Trade Frenzy!
A last-minute gathering between Thunder Bay, Branson, Casper, and Brooklyn resulted in a transaction flurry on December 30, with 5 trades made over lunch, and several others simmering. Join in the Hot Stove action, as we begin making draft-day preparations for the 2009 season.
Pink Logo Winner...
Liberace has spoken, and although the candidates were numerous, the Havana Fightin' Stogies out-pinked the rest of the field by two shades. Read Lib's blog for his insights and logic!
Draft Format Revision Suggestions Are Needed.
Now that our esteemed Commissioner has sold out and gotten a real job, our draft format might have to change as well. Gone are the days when we could rely on The Commish to keep things running smoothly during the draft, while fending off his paying customers in an effort to better serve you, the voiceless Groundouts. Instead, let's start dialoging about a day (or days) that we can hold the draft as efficiently as possible without jeopardizing our mid-March opening day. Remember, there are now 20 of us in four different time zones, so let's all try to be flexible and open to change!
Another NL Team Added to 2010 Draft...
I'd like to vote on our NL team entrant much earlier than we did this past season, so start scouring the Senior Circuit's rosters. I'm hoping we can make a decision early in the regular season, say, May 15, just to toss out a random early date.
Watch for Updated Schedules.
Yes, yes, yes, the schedules will be changing soon, so keep checking back to see your official 2009 schedule.
